Hello everyone

My name is Bill and as you can probably surmise from this post I have just joined Absolute Write and I reside in Montreal, Canada.

I'm a "technical geek" and in the past have authored many technical publications and in the late 1990's I also had a regular column in a technical magazine distributed to IT professionals in western Canada.

My writing interests however branch beyond computers and technology and I am currently working on several non-technical books as well as a series of cookbooks, as cooking is another one of my passions.

The opportunities that the new generation of self-publishing tools provides to authors is tremendous and I have immersed myself in everything I can find regarding e-book publishing. I'm hoping to connect with other writers who share this interest, and I suspect there are a few of you in here.

Looking forward to contributing some value and making new friends in this community.

I'll be passing through Montreal on my way to Maine (from Mont Laurier area) in a few days .. If I do it right it'll be 3 or 4 AM when I get there ...

You have quite varied interests. You may find people that would like to discuss things beyond e-books.
