Came to the conversation late, started my own Muse thread, was then directed to this one.

Muse! without doubt the best band for a good 20 years. not on a level with Queen, Zepplin, Rush, Pink Floyd Etc, but they certainly will be.
What makes even more impressive is that they are only a trio.
Anyone see their latest show at Reading at the weekend, SIMPLY STUNNING!!!!

I wish I could have made it to Glastonbury this year. We did see them at Wembley last September (and i'm from the states).

Amazing band.

Muse is one of my favorite bands too but I'm not stoked about the 2nd Law. I love "Survival" and "Unsustainable" isn't even that bad. But, "Madness"....Yeah. It's terrible. There's no other way to put it.

I usually don't listen to rock, but the only thing close I listen to is Ed Sheeren, he's chill and he just keeps it real, unlike all the other i see that dressed in costumes and colorful lipstick.

I absolutely LOVE Muse. I am patiently awaiting the release of their new album next month which I believe is going to be their best album. I usually have Muse playing in the background when I'm writing. Anyways just wanted to jump into the fan club ;)

I must confess, despite being really disapointed in Survival (their song for the Olympics), Madness is growing on me...

I have preordered the damned CD, even though, let's face it, Muse's best work was their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th albums. Hopefully, Matt, Dom, and Chris will change my mind.

I adore Muse. <3 Agreed that "Survival" was weak, some of their worst lyrics yet, but I enjoyed their "Resistance" album.

I would love to see them live.

I dozed off in front of Muse on Jools Holland's show last night. Quite liked the touchscreen bass, though I suspect they won't catch on.

Muse is pretty good, but idk about the best. Especially since they're about to release a new album which is heavily inspired by dubstep. Eww.

On another note, does anybody else immediately think of David Tennant as The Doctor when they see Matt Bellamy? The connection between the two is so strong in my brain that listening to muse makes me daydream about doctor who....

Fun fact - the mother of the girl I sat next to in my college English class dated Matt Bellamy for a spell, and claimed "Unintended" was about her.

Been a fan since album one - but they peaked with Absolution in my eyes. Downhill all the way since, with "Survival" being at best self-parodying, at worst unlistenable.

The dark side of the moon, making sinister plans..
I told a friend about Muse (I love them!). He asked who they sounded like. I was delighted to tell him 'No one else'. That is so rare these days it's frightening. The only band that I could even remotely compare them to is Queen, both for singing range and sheer resistance to fit into the cubicle that rock music has become.

IMO Muse is one of the best bands today. Some of the bands that I have grown up with, Aerosmith, Green Day, Metallica, etc...are coming out with new music that, frankly, just sucks ass. Green Day actually stated that they were getting back to their core (which was punk) but the first single on their new album is so mind numbing it makes me want to stick an ice pick in both ears.

I think their new album is very awesome. It has a nice mix of some of their classic European rock and some songs inspired by dubstep. Overall I enjoy the new album. I am even more excited that they are coming to Tampa in February. :D

I've grown to love the 2nd Law. Matt's newest ode to doomsday, with some nice Chris contributions as well.

I just ordered by tix for the IZOD Center in NJ for April. Anyone else going? Matt's promising their best show yet--that is saying something.
