This was inspired by the questions about what the term Trade means when referring to publishers. As I understand it, the Big Six Publishers are currently the following (or their imprints):

Hatchett
MacMillan (Different name now?)
Penguin
Harper Collins
Random House
Simon and Schuster

Is this still correct? At least this week. :)

I've also always wondered why John Wiley is considered Academic when they publish so many consumer-oriented titles as well.
