My blog is both, but heavily leaning toward the personal end because I don't have a professional writing career yet. I blog about my writing and different aspects and angles of writing, revising, researching, but then there's a lot about TV shows I like and books I'm reading and movies and food. Though, I have to say, since joining AW, my blog posts have become more about the writing.

I've been trying to segregate. davidwclary.com blogs about my personal life, and sometimes business happenings that affect my other interests. hardhobbittobreak.com blogs the movie happenings for The Hobbit, and sometimes movie and game reviews (since the comic riffs on both). And tech-based blog entries go to my tech site (which is so awful currently I won't mention its name lol).

I don't have a full time job and neither a life. So I guess it's a blog about the wind...?

My blog is both. I'll post about my latest projects, plug my work, that sort of thing, but I'll also post about great television shows, books I like, links to writing advice, and whatever else comes to mind. One of my most viewed posts is about Calvin & Hobbes!

I used to post about craft beer there, too, but decided to segregate that into a separate blog devoted to craft beer and homebrewing. It's still a work in progress -- too many reviews, not enough features and commentary -- but I'm only doing it to amuse myself, so I'm not too worried. There are more important projects for me to focus on first.

My blog is meant to help promote my writing career, so it's professional and aimed at future readers. That doesn't mean I'm posting about writing, because fantasy readers don't necessarily want to read about writing.

Yep. This.

I just started mine this week and am exclusively making it a professional one that is focused on trying to get published. I did this because on my Facebook, I have a picture of the day which has become a bit of a blog in a sense. That one is geared to more personal stuff.

Professional, if I can put it like that. I'm just focused on random wanders from all over the world, so it definitely has a very personal aspect in it as well :)

I guess mine's 85% 'professional', but only in that I don't talk about myself much. Since it's political philosophy, and I get a huge logic boner, arguments that stem from personal experience or individual anecdotes are verrry weak (unless there's data to back them up), so I steer clear.

At the same time, I have a list of posts I'm planning to do as long as my arm, and lots of the ideas come from day to day life. Interesting question!

My blog is mainly personal. Sometimes I'll write about writing, but it's not really professional.
