Any insights here? Do they work? Bad idea? There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of them out there. If cell-phone novels work in Japan, why can't the serialized blovel work? Sounds like in this day and age of bite-sized everything and give-it-to-me-now mentality, you would think this would be the ultimate medium.

But there aren't very many of them. Or am I looking in the wrong places? :)

I liked the zombie apocalypse one. It was serialized online first, then published as a book. I forget the title but I think it started with the heroine's name? The premise is she's writing blog posts as zombies take over. For some reason the internets never stop working as America's infrastructure collapses, which is the one big plot hole.

That's because we don't actually run the internets - cats do, remember? ;D

In all seriousness though, I've kind of thought of doing the blovel thing but...in the end I just decided, eh, not for me. I must say though, I do really enjoy the word "blovel." It's fun to say, especially in its plural form.

BLOVELS!

When the apocalypse comes, kittehs will be too busy stockpiling tuna cans to worry about keeping the internets going!
