May 2012 Blog Chain

Starting Date: Monday, May 7, 2012
Open to all forum members, even after it starts!

This month's prompt:
Zompocalypse Now!

Give us your take on the zombie apocalypse, be it a zompocalypse story, a zom-com, or a reflection on the genre and the films that inspired it. Write wherever the prompt inspires you, fiction or non-fiction, prose or poetry. Do try and keep things at a PG-13 level, though.

Instructions:
Simply post your blog's URL in this thread to join. Each post should be less than 1000 words if possible. Read and comment on other participants' posts if you possibly can--they'll be doing the same for you!

I'll let you know in this thread when it's your turn.
Once your turn comes up, you have two days to complete your post. When you are finished, please add a link to your post on the thread. If you signed up but find yourself unable to participate or need to be moved around in the schedule, please PM me or post in the thread. If you fail to post on your blog and on the thread within two days, I'll bump you down to the end of the line on the third day; you'll get a second chance at the end of the month.

Please include a list of all participants' blogs (not necessarily their actual posts for the month) in your blog post, and keep in mind we're not starting until later in the month to give people time to sign up.

Orion, can you move my comic spot to #1 on the list? I'm going to actually do that one next on my site (it'll be up tomorrow in point of fact), and since it'll be done before the 7th, we can use it to kick the series off.

I would love to join....but will you take my post if it is narrative non-fiction about the subject and not an actual zombie story? If so, count me in!

I have my rough draft done. I always sweat it out until that's done.

MonkeyQueen, mine is a fictional post in the form of a journal entry. If that helps you at all. I think it just needs to be a blog post.

BTW: Does everyone like what I did there with my "Costly Coffee" brand? If you can't tell, that's Starbuck from the first Battlestar Galactica, and Starbuck from the second Battlestar Galactica?

I'm pretty tickled about that LOL. When the comic takes off, that's gonna be a t-shirt.
