Hi everyone,

I have placed my book up on Amazon/Kindle and Lulu so far and was wondering if there's a way to track "hits".
I don't expect any sales yet, it's only been up for sale since late last night, but I would like to know if there is anyone browsing. Is this possible?

Oh yes, and if someone asks if they can download the book from Kindle or Lulu onto a Kobo- what should my answer be?

Thank you !!!

Thank you FOTSGreg,

I do not know much about smashwords, is my book protected there? and does it give me a portion of the profit?

Smashwords is the only site I'm aware of that gives you any info on tracking page views. Amazon definitely does not share this info, nor sample downloads.

Get used to only knowing about sales or free downloads if you have something set to free.

A Kobo would probably have trouble with Kindle file. Lulu uses EPUB. I would expect that to work on a Kobo Vox, but the device is not listed on Lulu's supported device list which surprises me. You should ask their customer service. Perhaps a DRM issue?

Smashwords does not use DRM, and files from it certainly can be used on a Kobo device. (DRM is no protection from someone who wants to steal protected books, so most advice not using it as it just annoys your legitimate customers.) Smashwords does pay royalties, very similar to Amazon and Lulu.
