Does anyone know of a POD printer that can make full-color gloss interiors? CreateSpace and Lightning Source only do a matte page for interiors, and I am looking for a higher-quality paper for photographs. Thanks

I have read a couple of people who say they use blurb. I have never personally seen one of their books though.

Blurb does beautiful books, I've done numerous books there for clients. You can get lovely coated paper and very rich color reproduction, softcovers and hardcovers in a few sizes. Downside? Very expensive, not something you can retail. They also have a nifty software you download and you can do the layout yourself, then upload the finished book. Accounts are free, you should check it out if you want to do an illustrated book.

Joel, I knew you'd be able to help on this one. I was going to call you into this thread and ask you to advise but you got here before me. Thank you!

Blurb is really expensive...you might try printing through costco.com or shutterfly.com. But the cost may be around the same. Unfortunately, I think you will have trouble finding a printer that will print glossy pages at a price that is affordable enough to re-sell. :(

Blurb can do very high quality work. It is expensive, but with care, quite extraordinary. If you're not comfortable with images for print, I'd talk to someone who is, even at your local Kinkos. I'd consider making comps yourself of the pages using a color laser printer at your local copyshop or printer, as well.
