Nicely done on "Vitamin C", Anne. I've never tried writing a kids' story, really, but it seemed like you had the rhythms, etc. down well.

Two in one day :)
Clusters of rejections are dispiriting... but clusters of acceptances are wonderful!
I just signed up to this challenge a few weeks ago. Today I received my first acceptances for 2012. One from Untoward magazine for a tragi-humorous piece about a house cat trying to thwart a burglary, and one from Milk Sugar for a longer literary piece about an old woman coming to terms with her alienation from her children. These aren't really big publications but I like them both for different reasons, so happy my work found a home there. It has also given me confidence to try some of the major journals next time. Congratulations everyone for your wins! |

I just received an acceptance email from West Pigeon Press for their anthology! They want to buy my story "A Coat That Fell"! It's my second sale and I'm pretty much doing cartwheels over here. Back to back acceptances! Surreal.

I wrote a guest blog post on write1sub1.com about submission motivation (so, yeah, relevant to our group
and it went live today:http://alexshvartsman.com/2012/03/07...rite1sub1-com/ This is also the first time I've guest-blogged. Kind of cool
