Hello! My name is Tom, and I am enjoying my time at these forums so far.
I'm 22 years young, married, and currently studying Creative Writing for a Bachelors degree. My favorite genre to write in would just be general fiction, usually with some type of surreal twist. While I do love fantasy and sci-fi, I've found myself leaning away from it in my own writing over the past few years. Minimalism is definitely a favorite of mine.
My favorite writers are Ernest Hemingway, Cormac McCarthy, James Wright, Robert Frost, and of course, J.R.R. Tolkien.
I've grown to love talking about writing, and over the past few semesters it's gone from something I'm generally interested in to a sincere passion.
I have a WIP novel that I started last fall and will be reading an excerpt of it at the PCA/ACA national conference in Boston this spring. Hopefully I'll finish it within the next couple of years and will have something to show for my 4 years of Writing studies.
Thanks for reading!
