Hi all, Im new here so please excuse me if Ive put this in the wrong section. I've come across this site and its so helpful.
Anyway, I've just completed my ww2 drama Darkness before Dawn and sent it off to probably 100 publishers. But many of them are coming back saying its not for them.
Does anyone know of any publishers who specialise in HF?

Is there any reason why you're targeting publishers and not agents?

And are you certain these publishers are accepting unagented work?

I have been targeting both and its been the agents who tell me my work doesn't suit them. Every single agent i sent off to came back with a rejection so i lost faith in agents

Hi, welcome to AW!

When you say you "just completed" the novel, does that mean you just finished the first draft? Or do you mean that it's edited, polished, and as perfect as you can make it?

I know you probably don't want to hear this, but if you're getting nothing but form rejections despite sending to a decent number of agents who represent your genre, that generally means the fault is with the query letter, the manuscript, or both.

When you have 50 posts, you can post your query and/or your first few pages in the Share Your Work session to get some feedback on what the problem is.

I'm in agreement with Katrina.

I third this opinion.
The problem may well lie with your query letter.
Have a look through Queryshark (queryshark.blogspot.com) and see if your query resembles any of the ones on there.
