A while ago, I set up my blog so that when I make a blog post, it automatically posts to my Facebook, Goodreads, etc. as well. I'd like to see if I can add Google+ to that, but I have no idea how I did it.

I use Dreamwidth for my blog (they're built on the LiveJournal platform - look at me, talking like I know what I'm saying!), and maybe I set something up there. Or is there a setting at the social media sites that I have to select? Or is there a third party site that took care of it for me?

Help? Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about, here?

On Dreamwidth itself there is a setting to cross-post to other sites. I believe the free account allows you to set up one cross-post site, and you have to buy a paid account to set up more.

But that information may be out of date, since it is about two years since I've used Dreamwidth. But that's how it worked back then. :)

Good idea, but... nope. I checked, and I have that one free crosspost account set up to crosspost to my LJ account. So whatever it is that sends things to Goodreads and Facebook must be somewhere else.

Thanks for the suggestion, though - it's helpful to rule things out, even!

No where seems to share with G+ yet. It may happen soon but it seems as if G+ is not going as well as they expected it to (despite being launched at the time when Facebook was losing users to a massive cock up in design they made). If any method appears, I am sure people will post about it here...

So it IS something that relies on the second site 'taking' from the first, rather than the first site 'giving' to others, areteus? I guess that makes sense, really.

OK, thanks! I'll just be patient, then, and see what Google+ comes up with.

Not sure what you mean by that...

I think basically that few places are bothering to go to the effort of coding the links as they do not think there is a call for it. It did take a while for many of them to offer the functionality for facebook and twitter and they were more popular in their initial launch period.

Google has not released the API for posting to + yet. Until they do, no one can.
