Okay, I've been debating to this for a while now. Although, the query is the reason why I can't obtain an agent --no one's seen my project-- but anyway, here's the description for the query. If anyone wants to take on a shot of beta reading, please let me know.
One minute, Jake was training with his father in the arts of wind magic. The next minute, his father was dead. Half teenager, half demon, Jake must now determine how to get revenge on his demon half, who’s responsible for the murder. This is what led to the interest of another evil that caused trouble within Twilight Kingdom, in the guise of his own uncle, Zar.
A man named Kian recruits Jake and two other teenagers, Lina and Miana. As prophesied, they become “The Destined,” a group that will save the world from a mysterious disaster. Jake jumps at the chance to hone his magic skills by training with Kian. Kian’s job is to help the Destined obtain hidden power by challenging them emotionally and physically in hopes that they would muster up enough strength to defeat Zar.
For Jake to vanquish his other half, he must locate a gemstone known as the kiss of light. If Jake fails to obtain the stone, the demon will permanently possess his body, kill all of Jake’s friends, and lock him in an alternate dimension. But one important fact that he will later find out is that Zar was responsible for the creation of his demon half. The gemstone has the power to cast out the demon and Zar’s influence over Jake. After all, Zar may just have it.
In the midst of fighting off Zar’s forces, the Destined must find clues about him, their remaining members, and their rivals, the Dark Ones all at the expense of the prophecy.
It’s simple. They either follow the will of the prophecy or the world comes to an end…
