Analog/Asimov's Forums Down Indefinitely

Rez, there's an active community over on FaceBook and I've asked my friend Paul Carlson to help spread the word. As Penny Publishing's owner Peter Kanter shut the forums down himself it's doubtful imnsho that he'd do much more.

That's not a slight against Mr. Kanter. He was more than justified due to the activities of the troll. I've seen a lot in my years and what that thing posted was ghastly.

Of course, my opinion is that shutting down the forums was a little like killing the patient to cure the cancer, but it's his decision and he owns the whole kitnkaboodle so all I can do is protest.

Mac, please allow me to thank you for providing this refuge, temporarily at least, to the Analog forumites. I swung by the forum last night and, while there are a few new rules and the posting of images has been disabled, the forum seems to be up and operating well. The publisher(!), the admin, and Dr. Schmidt (editor) all commented on the new rules.

However, I think we owe you and AW a debt of gratitude.
