I've got a question. I have a three book series in print. My publisher doesn't intend to offer them in as e-books. So landed a e-publisher and they asked me to merge the first two into a single volume.
Has anyone here had experience with this?
My main puzzle is, finding a new title for this "new" volume. Is it necessary?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Orbit purchased a six-book set of books from my husband for the Riyria Revelations. They put 2 books in each volume. And they were retitled:

- Theft of Swords (Crown Conspiracy & Avempartha)
- Rise of Empire (Nyphron Rising & Emerald Storm)
- Heir of Novron (Wintertide & Percepliquis)

The titles wer proposed by my husband and they agreed on them.

Thanks, RS. I never thought to re-title that way. It's exactly what I was looking for.
I'm most concerned that anyone having read the print versions would buy the e-books without realizing they had them already. People really tend not to like that!

You're right that people tend not to like that; and it's especially an issue when you buy books online and don't get to riffle through them first. I've seen a lot of one-star Amazon reviews for books which have been renamed like this.

At the very least, I'd expect there to be a subtitle referring to the original titles to ensure that such confusion didn't arise.
