So, I joined last week but was so embarrassed that I made a typo in the spelling of my own username that I haven't actually posted anything yet. Doh.

My first novel is a literary mystery with a bit of a mood of magical realism. I just signed with an agent (after four years of inconsistent efforts to find one) and we're going to send it out this month.

In my day job, about which I'm also very passionate, I'm a legal academic. (Currently a research fellow, going on the job market to become a law professor in the fall).

When I'm not writing or...well...writing, I enjoy swing dancing, painting, reading fantasy and 19th century fiction, and playing with my Pembroke Welsh Corgi.

This board is an awesome resource and I've been a grateful lurker for awhile...figured I might as well emerge into the light at least once!
