Reached my goals! Woot! Yeah, I promised myself all of last night to do nothing but writing; I even had a crappy frozen dinner just to give myself more time.

My next goal is to work in at least 90 minutes of butt-in-chair time tonight. Would've made it longer, but I need to go to the gym first.

Finally, progress...

ETA: And considering where I am at word count (39,422), I think aiming to reach 40k tonight wouldn't be a bad goal :) *rolls up sleeves*

Yay it's back! So my goal this week is to write at least one hour everyday and hopefully pump out at least 1200 words per day. I guess that makes a total of 7200 words this week. I stated strong yesterday with 1448 words, so w00t!

And good luck everyone, YOU CAN DO EETT!

Congrats, Etola! Woot!

How's everyone doing on their goals this week? I set a goal of five sessions and made three of them. That's actually a pretty good average for me :) . I might have gotten one more session in this weekend, but it looks like we're going to spend our time replacing our old kitchen sink and its rapidly deteriorating faucet.

Next week's goal: 500 words or one hour, each weekday.

How's everyone doing on their goals this week?

Doing good so far, I've got 3900 of the 7200 I need. But I'm giving myself until next Tuesday and I'm hoping to have a couple hours at the library tomorrow morning to get some work done.

I'm trying for two complete chapters a week, minimum. Now that I'm able to type again, although slowly with this funky $@*&%!! keyboard, I hope to get into the flow with it.

Today I wrote a better beginning scene, and rearranged the other scenes, and have just under 1700 words, with what so far is one chapter and maybe a scene for chapter 2.

I didn't make my goal this week  I got side-tracked preparing a bridal shower for a friend, it took way more time than expected. My goal for next week is to finish my first chapter and write the second! Good luck to all of you, go us!!

My goal was to complete 40K on my WIP at the one-month mark, on April 5. I reached that on April 4, and now I have 44K. 24 chapters, though the last one is non-sequential (I work in scenes, and I really wanted to write this one!)

Next big goal is to finish the thing around 75K to 80K by the end of May, depending on how brainlessly my MCs wander off-script.

For next week, I'll settle on how to bridge to the orphan chapter.

My writing goal for the week is very simple: just get that synopsis written. *sigh* And a few thousand words in my new WIP couldn't hurt either. :)
To everyone: Good luck with your goals this week! Hopefully they're achievable, and you can totally do it!

Ooops forgot to put my goal up on Monday. But it's pretty much the same as last week. Write at least an hour a day and try to do at least 1200 words/day. So far so good. :D Good luck everyone!

Hey, let's not let this thread die! I am in serious need of clear goals to get a move on in my story and I think we can all do with mutual motivation :)

My goal this week is to write 3000 words and finish chapter 2, which means working this weekend instead of slacking off...

I didn't even know there was a thread like this.

My goal this week is the same as every week; try to write something, anything, that doesn't suck too much.

I will finish the first draft of this (not so) short story. Oh yes, I will.

Good luck and godspeed to you all. :)

My goal for this Saturday is the half-way point. Seems daunting right now, but, I passed the 3/8s mark today. If I've planned it right, that's 9k left. Big if! Oof.

Good luck everyone! I know you can do it!

Within a week of getting back from my current business trip, I hope to read through the most recent novel for basic editing. Reading it all within 2-3 days would be ideal, since this is my smoothing edit.

My goals this week: Write a short story. Any length, just need to get one down (I'm also doing W1S1).

Re-write the first 10k of my WIP.

I really want to get started on my shiny new SF idea, but that's my dangling carrot to finish revisions on the WIP...

This week, by Saturday, I intend to have 10k on the novel. So that ticker in my sig should say 17k

Let's do this! *fistbump*

I forgot to come back and say: yes - check out the sig. I got up to 28!! A lot of that was editing and pasting of old stuff in new and exciting places...

And I intend to get at least another 10k by Sunday.
