And thanks for all your votes of confidence...
I mean, having four manuscripts out is nice - but it really doesn't mean my novel's hot. My novel will be hot if at least one person offers rep. but until that happens...I'm not that optimistic...
I had three fulls out already and they were all ultimately rejected because the agent wasn't "in love" with the novel. Makes me wonder if the novel isn't fundamentally flawed...
When someone offers rep. I'll start believing but until then this is all just a pipe dream.

When I was riding the query train, I, too, was asked for an exclusive by a fairly big agent. I already had multiple full requests out and let the agent know. He congratulated me on all the interest and said to send the MS his way if they passed. He never did get the MS, because I had my first offer of rep about a month later from an agent I had queried at the same time. I just brushed it off as one of those it is what it is situations.

Yes well at least she told me to keep her posted. So I will. The second I have either an offer of rep. or another manuscript request I will contact her and offer to wait for a specified amount of time to give her the chance to consider it - even if I haven't heard back from everyone else yet. As in "I'm going to send it to someone else or sign with someone else if you don't take a look at it." it may work, it may not. It's worth a try. Now will someone please offer me representation?
