I kind of wanted to post something on Announcements, Events, and Self-Promotion, but I don't know if it's appropriate. My husband (Richard Garfinkle), who is a science and science fiction author and computer programmer, has just released a 3-D animation app for the iPad). It's really exciting news for us.

It's not directly related to writing. Would it be okay to put a link to it on Announcements, Events, and Self-Promotion, or should I refrain?

That's pretty cool news. I'm in awe of anyone who can do technical stuff like that. Awesome.

I would say yeah, post it on announcements, afterall, it's an announcement.

Yes, brainstorm77, that's how I've been feeling about it. Yyyyeahhh, it's cool, but ...

A. Nothing to do with writing, really

B. I didn't program it (basically just tested it and produced some of the sample work)

That's why I posted the question here first. Let too much non-relevant stuff in and the forum loses its unique flavour. Heck, I've still been thanking my lucky stars y'all let me in, given that I'm not a writer.

So thanks. That's sort of what I was suspecting.

As an alternate, you could post it in Tech Talk. I think it would be appropriate there.

And since I'm the moderator of that forum, I would allow it.
