Forgive me if this was already covered somewhere, but I use Works Word Processor when writing and whenever I save a WWP file as an .rtf, the chapter breaks are way off. Is there a solution to this without registering the Microsoft Office program that came with my PC as trial software?

Thanks,

- Dave

Hey Dave,

Is there a reason you're saving the file as an .rtf? Works has got its own default file suffix independent of Office... I think.

Which is my long winded way of saying I don't really know, heh heh.

I suspect that, if you save them as wps (Works word processor) extensions your problem will solve itself. However, it will reoccur when the time comes to send your work to anyone, because they are going to want the work in .doc, or .rtf, or .txt, or .pdf form.

Personal recommendation? Don't spend any money. Go download Open Office openoffice.org.

Most all the functionality you need, will save in the file formats you need, and it is free.

I meant that I'm saving them as .rtf in order to meet the requirements of the receiver, yes. Thanks for the input, friends! :) And Williebee, I'll be looking into that Open Office program forthwith. Many thanks!

I would second looking at Open Office if you don't want to buy MS Office.

I hope that the receiver is a great agent and you get great things as a result.

Good luck!

I d/led Open Office and it's working great, so thanks again! I noticed it doesn't have a dictionary, but I can make use of an online one.
