ALWAYS check your bulk email!!

Today, through a convoluted chain of events, I did something I never do--I checked my bulk mail. And there in the middle of all the junk was a 5-day old response from an editor than I sent an email query to last week on the spur of the moment! (I finally decided to query about a devotional poetry book that I put together last year, but have never done a proposal for.) Anyway, she's requested that I send her a partial manuscript by email (thankfully no proposal), and I just did so tonight! I've been told so many times that publishers don't want poetry, that I really can't believe someone's actually wanting to look at it! Weeeee!!!!!!

I always check both bulk and trash before I clear them out... having had large files with edits get "dumped" there even though I have that editor in my address book.

Yup, happened to me once, too. I usually scan my bulk mail folder with my eyes half-closed and my mind elsewhere. One time I did get a response that ended up there.

I realized through another board poster that both my AOL email addresses are kicking back messages saying the mail is undeliverable . . . I have no idea why considering my account is active and my inboxes are never full. Weird. This has me really paranoid about responses coming in receiving the same kick back!!
