Hello peoples. soo... I'm Amber (but I go by a lot of things, ranging from $hortie to short stuff to princess, and pretty much anything else you want to come up with is fine by me lol), I'm 16, and I'm from Oregon, and I don't really like being new to things because I'm not used to it >.< I write a lot (probably too much...), but I'm very easily distracted by things... Like friends... And kittens... And the internet... (that last one is a problem because it's hard to go on my laptop without being online at the same time...) So, yeah, I'm trying to write, but I can't keep focused for long periods of time. =p
Just thought I'd introduce myself... so yeah. =) I'm usually very shy, but I like talking to people, so anytime you want to talk and I'm on here, feel free.

Welcome. I have a hard time focussing for long peroids of time too. Try writing a page or a paragraph a day or something if you think that will work. Just some advice you should feel free to ignore.

Thank you everyone. Falcon, I actually try to do that everyday. I get about one sentence down and then I see something shiny or a kitten and I'm distracted for about five minutes, then I tell myself I should be writing, write another sentence, something else shiny or my other kitten... I'll get better at that eventually...

I know what you mean Amber, I get distracted easy as well. I am 26 and still find it hard to keep focus on one project. Because of that I have about 50 unfinished stories lol.

I think everyone at some point has a concentration issue... lol... but, speaking as a girl, shiny things and kittens are always the MOST distracting! No worries, though... just keep trying... you'll get in the groove of things one of these days!

Hard to believe you guys commented on this 11 days later... xD I own two kittens, one is cute and the other is dumb but lovable, and they both act more like squirrels than actual kittens >.< I'm also getting either a gerbil, a hamster, or a rat on Tuesday ^.^ Hoping for the rat...
