Has anyone actually gotten material requested off a query?

An agent I used to work with told me the longer the wait, the better. It may mean that you were not dumped of of hand and your work actually made it to being discussed.

Of course, 3 Seas sent me a standard "No thanks" rejection letter in record time. Less than a month.

Ditto for me too WM. I sent my query and less than two weeks later I got my thanks but no thanks. Hopefully it does mean they are still considering your work! Good luck K! That is a really long wait- have you nudged?

Oh K-Mark, that's a bummer! I had the same thing happen with a different agency. It's frustrating.

Just got an R from a query sent 11/6. So, quicker than some of their other responses.

Hmm I requeried today because people who queried after me have gotten responses before me. It's been three months and although I did get the automated response, it may have ended up in their spam filter or something

I queried Michelle 05/04 and got a request for a full from Cori 07/02. So about two months.

I suppose now the waiting game begins....

I e-queried Michelle on 8/6. Still waiting for a reply. :) I know agents are busier than usual this time of year, so trying to be patient.

Any sales for Cori? Obviously Michelle has had quite a few, but she's still listed at P&E without even a $. Is it just not updated, or has she really not had any sales in four years?
