Before I took any creative writing class / study for my qualification / try and write anything creative, I was pretty closed-minded to thinking 'poetry is poetry' fiction is fiction and they all have neat packages to be slotted in to.

Then you wake up to how genres cross, how there are no definite lines: you can see poetic form in fiction, non-fiction in fiction (use of footntoes, glossarie etc). There's even creativity in grafitti.

So my pet peeve would be my own stupidity and for limiting what my perceptions of creativity were.

Go in open minded and relaxed to the idea that there's no definite lines between where creativity can be used or seen.

The best clip round the ear I got was, 'your pen is the crossover point/creativity and unless you run out of ink, you have no bounderies, twit.'

Teaching thinking:

There is a difference between philosophy and thinking skills in the practical use. What you like thinking about? Answer?

Errors in thinking:

Groups: Partialism, Time Scale, Egocentricity, Arrogance and conceit, Initial judgment from page 67-76

If you don't ask a question you will be seen as an ignorant student, ignorance is often the first step you take into education, asking questions will often make you grow. Learn to listen and relate. Try to understand words, it requires emotional strength.
Who of you has seen the series “Numbers”? A character uses mathematics in order to “see clearly”.
Perception are often used in it, it is a direct attention to the information, to put information together, to abstract certain things, to make predictions and so on.
I'd like you to describe your personality and as well as your future in business. If your thinking of leaving school don't bother filling it, you won't get far or make profit if you leave early.

I'm going to let the class read, "Beautiful child, by Torey Hayden" It's a story of a child trapped in slience and the teacher who refused to give up on her" I found this pretty well written english book at a bargain price. I think the students will enjoy reading it. Almost like Helen Keller- blind.

That's an excellent story of perseverence and love. I hope your student's learn a lot from it.
