Someone in France is building a 13th century castle using only contemporary techniques and materials - fascinating

For some reason, I kept reading the "contemporary techniques" as meaning contemporary to our time. i.e. modern. And I was wondering what was so special about that. :tongue
This is really cool though! I especially find it interesting that they've got a whole village of craftsmen creating the necessary materials, just like it would have been in the 13th C.! (Alright, maybe not "just like" but you know what I mean.)

There is a Dentist in Phoenix Arizona who built a Castle on Camelback mountain. It is complete with a drawbridge over a ravine. But being in Arizona, he can't keep the snakes and scorpions out of the castle. I watched an interview of the guy and when asked why he would build a castle in the middle of Phoenix, he said, he always dreamed of having a castle by the sea shore and he figured that when California drops off the west coast, he will have his dream.
