Can anyone tell me how to change fonts in OpenOffice? I have my novel in Times New Roman, just because that was the default, and my agent wants it in Arial.

Press CTRL+A to select the whole text in the manuscript and go to the list of fonts, where it says Times New Roman and hit the drop-down menu and go up until you see Arial in the font list. Select Arial and the font will be changed. I hope this helped.

Why in God's name does your agent want it in Arial? Talk about a non-standard, lousy font to read and edit.

Geez, James, what difference is it to you why the agent wants what he or she wants?

Maryn, equally curmudgeonly

Verdana is better than Arial for reading, but Courier has the best defined characters.

Times is like a classy Courier that's more condensed for print (to save paper/space).
