Real pages, like Wordpress has. Not blog posts you're pretending are pages. I only noticed it today and I couldn't see an announcement... so I figured other people might not have noticed it either.

About me page, here I come!

How exactly did you add your About page? I tried to find it on the layout section, and didn't see how to do it?

Thanks in advance.

You create pages in the 'Posting' tab. You should have an 'Edit Pages' inbetween 'Edit Posts' and 'Comment Moderation'. Click on that... then click the 'New Page' button.

Then in layout, you need to add the 'Pages' gadget to place links to the pages. It can either be along the top, like mine, or in the sidebar.

I don't understand what you're talking about. Care to explain?

It's probably easier to see if you glance at my blog. I now have an 'About Me' and a 'Bibliography' link at the top. These are pages - static information on a page, rather than a blog post.

Previously, Blogger didn't have a system for adding them.

Thanks so much for this info Polenth! I'm off to get mine set up right now!

Limited to ten static pages though, right? Or does it scale up if you have thousands of posts, so - in time - you can add a lot more pages to deal with additional content?

I don't think it scales. Mine says it's limited to ten and I have quite a few posts. An average blog won't need more than a few though (if you need hundreds of pages, that's a good sign that you need a static website on your own domain).

Yes!

I'm adding an 'about me' page as we speak, but for now just have 'main page', 'reading lists' and one dedicated to our very own thethinker42. :D

(I hope to earn a 'books by...' page on her blog this year).

I can't work out how to get them to show as tabs at the top of my blog. They still want to 'list'.

ETA: Never mind, I had a fiddle and got it working. :)
