Well, actually I've been lurking for the last several weeks. I decided to join because I want to get serious about my writing and I figured it couldn't hurt to be part of a writing community.
I write short stories and I'm in the process of fleshing out my ideas for a novel. I hope to find motivation here and maybe even a writing partner for an added kick. Not for physical kicking. Mutual writerly support will do.
I also started a story "mosaic" blog to blow off steam when I get stuck, or start to take myself too seriously and fall into self-indulgent depression.
So here's to my writing future, which may indeed be very dark, but for now I am happy to pretend it will be otherwise.
