I got Royal Mail! It has royally hot books inside :D I don't know if I should reread it or display it :tongue

Max, as soon as I can get those books you wanted, I'll have Ilfayne's Bane in the mail to you. And those other books ofc. It was Catch 22 and ??

I understand your situation, Fenika. Once I was forced to have Doritos and Gatorade for breakfast.

 I got by with a little Bean Bowl (veggies, beans, chicken) on brown rice with lime juice. Mmm.

Morning! I has a chai! And also I just weaseled my way out of grocery shopping so now I can NaNo. Woohoo! Grocery shopping is overrated. Writing is FTW.

Grocery shopping good. At least when you don't have an SO to do it for you :tongue

Greetings all! I has coffee and brownie for breakfast! And a little financial relief, thanks to my parents. I am feeling much better today than I have all week.

Dragongar: characters in my current set of stories - Mah NaNo is the 3rd book I've written in this world, I've written two already of my trilogy, and obviously... have the 3rd and final book of the trilogy to write. I think I need a dragonbreak. I has superhero's to write!

Aiming for between 3-4K today! Wish me luck.

Hope everybody has a great day! Writing and otherwise.

and All The King's Men, Fenika.

Right now I am reading The Name Of The Rose by Umberto Eco; Echo is the only writer I know of that can make pages full of infodump interesting, even feeling like a small child being read by a kind grandpa about crazy popes and XIV Century political intrigue.

Do I know the modern fairy story? *searches memory*

Don't believe you do. 's'about a girl going all cross-country for a job, leaving her life behind, and then Weird Things occur and it's a Coming Of Age kind of story blended with some Cautionary Tale (as all good fairystories are).

And England lost against the All Blacks :(

KA MATE, KA MATE, KA ORA, KA ORA!! :D

Fenika -- When you find a copy of that game, send it my way? :)

(Also, I has plans for going to NZ in 2011 to see the the cup!)

Having a laid back Saturday night here.

My Fiance is playing FF X and I'm doing a little writing. Not to shabby.

Oh, sounds cozy actually.

Greetings, Cantina Dwellers. Am about to ingest the first food of the day at 5:30 pm. Yeah. Kinda dumb, that.

I've read over my story, just a little, just doing spellcheck really.

I still like it, and it sounds better than I thought it would. I seriously have NOT been reading it. I've never managed to do that before. I thought I was in for a horror show.

Fenika - how is your little birdy doing - the one that had lost weight?

Oh it is! Totally sweet.

If I'm in a serious writing mood, I'll forget to eat too. Everything thinks I'm crazy when I tell them that.

Blueberry has gained weight and is currently alternating between trying to pry my monitor loose, trying to pry my keys loose (he can too), and trying to engage me in some pinkie wrestling. So I'd say he's feeling pretty good :D

I'm so relieved, but he's not 100% yet.

I read my story a little today so I could outline it and figure out how to get another 40k in 7 days out of it, lol. Oi.

Just lock yourself away for the four day weekend.

I banged out 3K today. A big 3K because it was the beginning and I always seem to have the most false starts with the those.

And I'm back to being a quitter. I'm at 14.7k. I need nearly 6k per day. I don't have that kind of time to commit. Plus I seriously need to figure out how the heck my plot is supposed to unfold before I go crazy. So it's back to the secret santa tomorrow and the NaNo WIP will get done when it gets done.

Meanwhile, there's boards to study for, my birds to care for and play with, and a disaster of a house to clean.

And a lonely thanksgiving to prep for. Anyone got a good recipe for Duck? :D

Lonely Thanksgiving? :( Googlemaps says it's a 21 hour drive to get here. We're having pheasant and our couch is really soft and comfy!!!

In other news: Shitting Glitter (the band) was very pleasing. The keyboard player was especially delightful. I wanted to take him home and bake him a cake. Is that weird? A cool guy we met last weekend turned out to sekritly be a rapper, quite a good one, and we enjoyed his act as well. And there were performance hula dancers! They were yay.

Emulators are awesome.

No more driving! :scared:

Actually, I'll be here with my birds. That makes me happy. Though pheasant is tempting. I have a fireplace, all I need is floo powder...

Yep. Plus I discovered I can in fact let my inner editor be squashed and write 800+ words in 30 minutes. I'm kinda stoked about that :)

It's a very old picture

Meh, I'm not fussy.

j/k

Alright, today's breakfast is scrambled eggs with basil. Yay for real breakfast.
