I just email the WIP to myself every time I quit working on it. And I work on multiple computers (and in a notebook too). Or you can use a USB drive to transfer it, or this DropBox thing Fenika keeps telling me to get.

DropBox? Do tell!

I've been nanoing at work mostly, and keep my WIP on my USB drive, backing it up on my laptop every few days.

And, may I also add, UGH! I have spent the past hour fiddling with trying to print various labels on two different printers, one of which is on the floor above mine in the office where I work :p I print, go upstairs, see that I was supposed to load the paper the other way, try again, they're still all misaligned, etc. etc.

From what I gather, DropBox is like emailing shit to yourself all the time, only easier. Basically online storage and backup, which you can sync on one or more computers.

Ooh free stuff! We likey free stuff

How's tricks y'all?

Good news 1: I did an interview for my local paper

Bad news 1: They took my photo - I hate having my photo taken. Mind you the photographer did know some good dirty jokes to make me laugh

Bad News 2: After careful consideration I've decided that the character I was having so much trouble with has got to be remodelled. Drastically. I could make him sympathetic but...he just wasn't working, or not for this book anyway. I may reuse him somewhere else. Anyway, major re-write coming. *sigh*

Good News 2: He's working much better now. :D

Finally found two slogans for my fictional political parties on my WIP:

Yesterday Party: Vote us and you will live.
Tomorrow Party: Vote us or you may die.

Oooooh...intriguing! :) And a little disturbing, but I get the impression that that's the point.

ooh I like them, make me want to read

And rewrites go at a stonking pace \o/ Amazing how easy it is when you have a character you can get behind.

Poor bastard I'm just about to completely fuck up his life :D Even worse than it already was. hehehehe

The Yesterday Party is the conservative party of Urbania; usually mentions how things were better before, claiming for example, how before there was less crime and less ethnic people around, they don't imply they are connect but... yes, they are implying it.

The Tomorrow Party is the liberal party and their counterpart, they advocate some vague reform that nobody is quite sure what is about and usually mention some change will come soon, yep, it must be arriving, any moment now... perhaps in this decade or a generation or two... at least your grandchildren will see it, right?

Last line I wrote from my WIP:

The justice laughed; no matter if you’re innocent or guilty, at the end the justice only favors to the hangmen.

You can read part of my WIP at SYW Interscites. It starts off with Dalliance and goes alphabetically (Dalliance, Devotion, Divorce, Dolor and I must start writing Dust)

Opinions are very much appreciated, IRU :)

Oh, Nano. You drive me crazy sometimes. I have point A, and point D, and I'm not sure how the two connect other than they do, somehow.

Why did I have to go and write an abduction subplot? It even nullifies my statement of the NaNo title having nothing to do with the story. *sigh*

I've been spreading this love around for awhile, nobody pays attention!

You have. :)

I heard it, but I am a stubborn creature. :)

Ditto.

So, I'm home. The birds are all alive. I pick up the lovies tomorrow, and pampered my bu-- um, parakeets (I know this bar too well) tonight before bedtimez. The house is warm, the bed is soft, and I don't have to get up early tomorrow.

Also, if I can set aside about 30 hours, I might be able to finish my NaNo this month. I had some ideas for it in the car :)

Fie on Thanksgiving and bring on the word wars! ;)

When in doubt, add ninjas ;)

.....

:Wha:

You. Out of my head. NOW!

;)

Okay, not ninjas, but the one nation that was likely to have them was one possible party I was kicking around for that subplot...but that still leaves the question as to why someone - anyone - would try and inject false memories into someone, and for what purpose.

But I just got in! *Splashes around in your head and refuses to get out for adult swim*

False memories for false goals? If you know what I mean.

And you think you have problems, I made my maleMC a mage. And now he has to hide that fact (maybe with some nods to the reader tho) for the entire friggen book. Gee, great plan me. oO Oo ><

Okay, off to bed I go. Night folks.

Ok... I'm gettin' scared. I just realized I said I would write this idea that I've had for goin' on.... 8 years or so AFTER this NaNo book was complete - to get me out of the Dragongar world. And now I realize.... this NaNo book is going to be finished sometime in the next month.

It's gonna be epic...

This is the worst bit of writing for me. Figuring out which project is next.

Do I write the sequel to the currently-editing novel? Do I write the android love story? Do I write the modern fairy story? Do I write the ghostie story?

Decisions decisions...

Epic is good.
