Infamous Black Friday is looming here in the US -- just about every store opens their doors at the crack of O'dark:30 / dawn and offers discounts on select merchandise.

My daughter's last day at Toys R Us is Black Friday. She starts at 4AM 'til noon.
I think it's funny 'cause she was always so excited to go "expedition shopping" with my sisters on Black Friday (I'm not kidding--they'd sit there after dinner and combine shopping lists, plot out who was hitting what stores, confirmed itineraries, who was driving, who was standing in line, swapped money around--I'm sure they could run a full presidential campaign with all the stragedy they plotted). Now she's on the other side of the register and has a totally different experience of the day.
If I didn't have to go pick her up, I wouldn't be within 10 miles of a store on Friday.

I'm in a surprisingly good mood, the words are flowing, the kids have laughed today. When I get to 35k, I'm going for a shower.
I love holiday shopping---before the holidays get here. most years I have everything done before Thanksgiving but not this year.
