How do you manage 17 POVs?

Okay. It is time to log off. I'm supposed to be asleep in 5 minutes but I'm going to cheat and watch TV episodes on Hulu. I'm so bad. ;) G'night, Sage.

Cheering you all on!
So it was sorta easy and sorta hard.

It goes like this. There are 16 girls plus Mark (plus Bryan, but he stole one of Mark's, so we're calling him Mark).

Week 1:
Mark
Girl 1
Girl 2
Week 2:
Mark
Girl 3
Girl 4
Week 3:
Mark
Girl 5
Girl 6
.
.
.
.
Week 8:
Mark
Girl 15
Girl 16
Finale:
Mark

I actually thought I was doing pretty well. I had to make up the girl whose POV I'm in now a few chapters ago, 'cuz I realized I had eliminated or matched everyone else I had mentioned and needed one more girl for the group scene I was in. And I wrote myself into a bit of a corner, I realized yesterday 'cuz I wanted to keep a girl whose POV I had written, but the number of girls I had left vs. the number of POVs I had left to write vs. the number of girls whose POVs I hadn't been in meant I couldn't keep her (but actually I worked it out and ended up shifting a POV back and making it work). But really, the girls aren't that bad. I'm not sure I've dealt with differing their voices enough, but I hope I have.

It's the boys who were hard to keep track of. I just hope I haven't named one too many boys in my search to find guy names who I know I haven't eliminated, lol.

Boys are always hard to keep track of. :tongue

Ugh. So much reading to do today (not the good/fun kind).

We're not hard to keep track of, just look for a fridge, a TV or a computer... Or the occasional girl if we're not too geeky :p

Several threads got split in two because of length, usually if they had more than 10,000 posts. Shady and Sage's voice game was another one.

Since Random Musings has had just 431 posts since it was split back at the end of August, it's clearly not the force it once was. Another reason is that there are now at least three other chat threads going - Teens Writing for Teens, Old People Writing for Teens, and YA for the Young at Heart.

I miss the old RM.

And it's the holidays.

And I'm all, like, emotional.

I want to ignore DMaM (which is done), and write a book from the POV of one of the girls. I'm not sure I could do it though. It's very stream of consciousness. But I loved doing it.

Random musings?

I'm debating burning my NaNo which never made it beyond 10,000 words.

I'm also debating wither or not giving extracts from my Fiction course assignment to Beta readers is cheating.

sure, but I have 2 assignments due on Thursday which I haven't even started and as I tend to only average 1000 words an hour when would I sleep?

I contemplated doing NaNoWriMo, but it's crazy month for my school. Two weeks of exams, and then two weeks of induction for next year's classes. Since I kind of like passing school, where would I have found the time?

Race has just informed me that it is cheating to ask for beta readers for my uni assignment.

So instead... Anyone free to read 3 short stories that are due for entry into a...um... competition (yeah that'll work) on Thursday? We're talking no more than 2000words total here.

*hides in case Race works out what she's up to*

[SUB]ETA: I hope people realise I'm joking... I would rather not get into trouble over a silly assignment I'll pretty much pass just for handing in.

Must be.

*steals salmon*

You know, the other day we went to this restaurant that I *used* to love. I ordered the salmon since I *was* a salmon addict. They brought me disgusting salmon! The first one was not only undercooked but, I'm thinking, was a little bit beyond the "fresh" stage. Second one was just as bad though cooked. I squished it under my bro's plate to pretend I ate it. :tongue

I cot a nice piece of salmon today when we were out shopping, going to have it with cheese and dill sauce.

169 of 1500 words done.

I'm now going to pull salmon out of the freezer and cook it up tonight. If it's not too deeply buried under the moose meat and halibut.

Okay, I joke.

I don't have any halibut.

I'm starting my "serious" writing again, since the "fun" part of NaNo is done. Anyone else actually like phase II more than the initial "throw up words on paper to try and nail down the story" phase?

Task: Fictionalise something you heard on the radio.

Okay then.. prepare for 500 words of a fictional court case based on the 'Killer Queen' song... this should be fun.
