About three months ago I bought an HP desktop PC with Intel chipset integrated on board. I thought I needed better graphics so bought and installed Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT PCI Express with 1024 MB. My system meets the requirements for this card.
I then realized that for 95% of my needs, the intergrated controler was just great and would handle all ok.
In the mean time I was using the Nvidia card and beginning to have problems. When I put the PC in sleep mode, the monitor would not start up. I did not mention that the PC came with Vista and that I upgraded to Win 7.
On the net I see lots of folk having this same problem. I took out the Nvidia card and went back to on board graphics.
Everthing works great except my "experience index" base score has dropped from 4.9 to 3.3.
All I'm wondering, with all this, is if any of you have had similar problems in relation to your monitors not starting up after sleep mode.
