And in my crazy giddiness earlier, I completely neglected to shout-out to those who deserve shouting out:

Mega thanks to scarletpeaches for helping me brainstorm it, bestowing upon it not 1 but 2 titles (it was originally The Devil You Know) and beta reading every chapter as soon as it was finished.

Also to Libbie for beta reading it. I'm an unabashed comment-whore, and your comments are much, much appreciated.

I think we should just smoosh all these threads together to make one thousand-page sacrifice to Lori, and every so often we can resurrect it to tell her how great she is. You know, really milk it and drag it out and make everyone sick, either with envy or boredom, whichever applies.

Here are my thoughts:

Lori is living proof of two things.

1. TDBU was written in eleven days, thereby proving fast =/= crap.

2. The more you write, you don't 'wear yourself out'. The more you write, the better you get.

Writing is a muscle, not a finite supply of words. You get stronger, not emptier.

(And to completely spoil the mood of what I'm saying, Lori's just said on MSN, "And I am living proof that filth sells like a mofo.")
