My name is Stephen J Howie and an interesting thing happened to me about three or four months ago, I learned that I love reading and consequently writing. I hated both when I was growing up and wanted nothing to do with it.... ever! Not sure why really, I just had it in my head that it couldn't be as good as movies and TV. Well I was obviously wrong because the imagination is so much more vivid than a picture show.
Interestingly enough I always enjoyed stories and characters I could get into and love. Needless to say I'm reading a ton now, mainly focused on fiction and books on writing. Trying to make up for lost time and soak up as much as I can.
I love interacting with and getting to know people so anyone is welcome at my table. I'm glad I found this site and hope to get to know all of you at some point at some level. I welcome any advice as I am novice and very green -- was that redundant?
