Writing my very first novel

Hi to everyone

I have just signed up today to this forum.

I am starting my very first erotic novel and although I have done over 4,000 words in only 2 weeks I was wondering how any of you out there can point me in the right direction to make this a best seller!!

You definitely want to set aside some time to get acquainted with the forum boards and read some helpful information. Wayne's linked thread is great! I have found Uncle Jim's advice very very helpful.

There are other threads, too, about query letters and formatting and all kinds of stuff.

It sounds like you're excitement has helped you keep a BIC attitude (butt in chair). Over time, you'll need to ensure you stay disciplined with that and in not time you'll have upwards of 60K...80K...or more!

Once you have edited to a point that you are ready for feedback, there is a SYW (share your work) section where you can post a small amount of your work and gain feedback. I would actually suggest going there first and reading what others are posting and seeing the crits (critiques) they receive from other members. It may help you see some ideas and strategies you can put in place for your own writing.
