I'm terrible at writing profiles (I chose not to find that at all ironic)
I do love lists so I'll throw down a little bit of an about me list.
Fun fact (that's not so fun): I want to be a published author but I have stage fright and the idea of being in a room full of people who might have read my writing and want me to talk about it terrifies me. Maybe I'll wear big sunglasses and a wig.
I'm so excited to have found this site and can't wait to get to know everyone.

I do love lists so I'll throw down a little bit of an about me list.
- I'm currently unpublished.
- I write social science fiction, urban fantasy, and horror.
- My pen name is J.E. Vans, but my actual name is E.J. Evans, which doesn't sound very writerly (i think i made up a word) to me.
- I have a wicked habit of juggling an insane amount of projects at once; I suspect that if I compiled all of my efforts I'd have at least three more completed novels.
- I have completed two novels. One is 67,000 words of science fiction that I call my drawer novel (it needs a lot of work but it is proof that I can finish). The second novel that I completed I wrote for NaNoWriMo last year and won, yay. It needs a lot of work, but I learned a lot about myself and the way that I write.
- I write both novels and screenplays and have yet to find a balance between the two. (sometimes I think I should just focus on screenwriting, and then I miss my novels and go back to them.
- I just started two more novels. Another terrible habit I have: always starting something new. But I'm being very "this time for real" about it.
- I've discovered the wonderful world of outlining (nothing too deep; just a vague road map to get me to the end) and I've outlined the two novels I'm currently working on, which give me a bit of confidence.
