UnCharted Sky is always looking for quality fiction to entertain our listeners. We are looking for science fiction, fantasy, and some types of horror. We are not looking for erotica, but good, non-erotica stories that contain sexual content will be considered. We are looking for stories that make people think, wonder, laugh, or question reality. In short, entertaining fiction.

We are looking for stories between 2,000 and 6,000 words. This isn’t a definition, more like a guide. Generally stories shorter than 2,000 words go by too fast and stories longer than 6,000 words run over an hour. We pay $20 per story.

We are looking for a mixture of previously published and unpublished works. We are also striving for a mixture of well known authors and new voices. We are an audio production; we are only interested in electronic audio rights. You can have your story in an anthology or other magazine and we will be thrilled to produce it. However, if your story is already available in audio form we may not want to do it again. Although, we may consider running your audio program as part of our show.

We accept stories in e-mail at submissions (at) unchartedsky.com. You should send your story as an attachment in a pdf, doc, rtf, or txt format.

We’re going to a rolling submission process, in which each month we’ll be accepting submissions for an upcoming theme. We’ll add more information on themes and deadlines as we set them in concrete.

The Wily Writers site publishes two short stories per month in both audio and text formats. In 2010, we will have special guest editors choosing the stories along with head editor Angel Leigh McCoy.

We publish only short fiction that falls under the genre umbrella of speculative fiction: horror, fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romance/mystery/adventure.

Cossmass Infinities is a Science Fiction and Fantasy audio magazine. Our first episode was published in January 2010.

We are looking for short stories, ideally, between 4000 -- 8000 words.

Stories should be either Science Fiction or Fantasy, or even a blend of both.

Try to avoid mediaeval-fantasy though

We pay £20 a story, upon acceptance, for non-exclusive audio rights.

Previously published stories are welcome.

You do not need to have been published elsewhere.

Payment is through Paypal.

Submissions should be by e-mail to [email protected] with the story's title in the Subject:.

Include your story as an attachment in text, RTF, OpenOffice.org or MS Word format.

Formatting should be single spaced with a blank line between paragraphs.

Any font effects (bold, italics, underlines, etc) are stripped before reading.

Use _underscores_ for emphasis.

Please send only complete stories.

Include the following information in the body of your e-mail:

Your real/legal name. (for the contract)
Your mailing address. (also for the contract)
A very brief author bio to be included with the published story.
A byline if you don't want to use your real/legal name.

We are an audio magazine, so character and location names should be pronounceable.
