slcboston, I don't believe that there's ever enough explosives.

"Think you used enough dynamite there, Butch?" (Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid)
"I say we take off and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." (Aliens)
"There is no problem that cannot be overcome with the proper application of a sufficient amount of high explosives" (US Marines?)
"Roger, grab that cat and run!" (Lethal Weapon 2?)
"Nuke 'em till they glow" (unknown)
"I love the smell of napalm in the morning" (Apocalypse Now)
"One thing's for sure. We're not gettin' out of this alive, but neither is that thing" (The Thing)
"Did you ever have one of those days when things just blow up in your face?" (The Locked Room)

Researching. I'm looking into publishers for alternate history. It never hurts to get a little ahead on homework.

That being said, I'm having some troubles with it. Alternate history seems to be a small subgenre and there isn't even a search option on duotrope for it. So, I'm combing through sci-fi publishers manually. Fun times, fun times.

Hey everyone! Great fireworks last night. And it had been so long since I was to the racetrack that even the dirt flying in my face was a thrill. My GD was so excited that I think she decided to be a race car driver when she grows up.

Hey y'all. Just saying a quick hi before we start roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. (In case you haven't noticed, anything marshmallow is a big thing at my house. We love the darned things.) We're gonna make smores, do fireworks and all that.

Happy Fourth, you guys! Have a great afternoon!

hi kerr, ef, and dg---just had to put out a small fire. my SO was trying to carmelize onions, he walked off and left them unattended. I was working my back office, my cat started howling and the smoke detector went off.

Burnt onions and skillet!

I'm going back to hide in my office again:)

Sorry DL. My hubby cooked the baby bottles once until the kitchen was black. Thank God the flames shooting around the doorway took his attention from the TV. Then he called me at work to see if I could get off to come help clean. "Everyone's okay? Okay, sorry I can't leave right now." LOL

I work at a dirt track. What classes were running?

We had a good showing of the local yokels in cars that all looked like they'd been run over and pounded back out for the next race. But there was also a good showing of the sprints. One race had 24 of them entered. On the first lap, 5 were knocked out of the running. Those were the ones my granddaughter got into. She's normally a calm child and that's the most excited I've ever seen her. Also, there was a thirteen-y-o drove in the first race and won. Now that's scary!
