Hi gang. Cub3Land let us out early.

As for a new ditty--no quite sheepstormtroopers but another song has floated into my head. (The one from this morning got hastily scrawled on a couple pages in my moleskin.)

However....

...hmmm....

Stormtroopers....

Thank you Baha and slc. I detect another concept creeping into my brain.

So I foolishly mentioned that I believe the perfect watermelon daiquiri involved freezing cubes of watermelon and using them instead of ice in the blender to keep it from getting watered down as it melts. I also mentioned that they were a staple of our 4th of July festivities. As a direct result I have a refrigerator crammed with three cows worth of ribs I have to cook and am currently trying to figure out how many times to multiply my potato salad recipe to feed thirty people. So much for chapter five ;)

Happy 4th to everyone but the Brits. For you guys I have only contempt for not keeping us in the empire and out of trouble!

Happy fourth, everyone!

We have the in-laws and my nephew in town, so we've been running around playing host. Took them to a carnival yesterday...the heat was brutal, and wiped us out. :)

umm... double post much?

actually it may not be you, i've been noticing a rash of them tonight...

but how about we pretend it's you? :D

Heh, if it pleases you :tongue

It was my internet connection- the little twirly thing kept spinning after I clicked 'submit reply' so I just said f-it and clicked again. Thus the huge gap in timestamps. And since my internet was being stupid still I just shrugged and wandered off ;)

Yay for everyone that is celebrating. I'm sitting at home hoping I don't get called in. Might find a spot around the apartment complex to view the fireworks that are less than a mile away tonight.

Looks like everyone's gone for the weekend/holiday.

I just wanted to share: Poor Celestna (one of my minor MCs) gets so much crap. She's in over her head and she knows it, AND she's surrounded by people much more competent than she is. Plus her writer keeps laughing at her when she shows what a noob she is. Dire.

I'm mooching around at home. I'm watching "Fame" and thinking about how my fantasy novel would make a really really bitchin' musical. SRSLY. It even has songs in it.

*hangs head in dorkness*

If they can do with Lord of the Rings--hell, even with Wagner's Ring Cycle, why not a fantasy musical?

You could start Off-off-off-off-off Broadway. Even regional theatre. Then eventually going to the Great White Way.

Chapter 10 done! :hooray:

Just moments before I got called back to the hospital. And now I'm waiting for another patient/client. Again. ><

Heh, I was just over at that thread :)

And yay, 1/2 way mark. I gotta push through if I'm to finish by the end of the July, including final read through(s).

And I is missing the fireworks. Not that I cared too much until I was stuck in this creepy, mostly silent building (there's a humming sound down the hall). Stupid speakerless computers.

Yar, I hates the creepy. HATES it. I used to scare myself silly when I was a kid, watching "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" on SNICK, all alone, in my bedroom...*shudder*

I'm so behind on my rewrites. *sigh* Baha, loan me some of your work ethic, will ya?

 I remember that show! I started out all scared and then somehow got over it.

And my work ethic isn't that hot since it's 12:30 and the only thing I've gotten done today is baking bread. It comes out in 30 minutes :D

But you can have a bit of it. My work ethic that is. The bread will be devoured by me :)

Also, here's a :whip: for your WIP. Go go go.

Lastly: I woke up this morning thinking- "Daylight! There's daylight. That means my on call duty is over or nearly so." By the time I rolled over to check the clock it was 8:30 and I was freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Thank goodness I didn't get called in after I left around 11pm.

I'm at the scene where Gwen is in the library looking up information on the Tower. I've changed one of the characters (Sanctus Treveray) into another (Lord MacAlpin, the crazy Maenish guy from the Watcher scene), and he's introducing himself to Gwen right now. Threatening to kill her actually, but he ends up being rather friendly. For him, anyway.

LOL, I'm not going to recognize this novel, am I? :D

Gwen can be a little shit tho. I'm sure she doesn't just take the threat cowering. Go go go!

No, you will. The basic plot and characterizations stay the same. I've added or changed a couple of minor people, and clarified some motivations. We'll see if it reads better this way.
