My Poem

The boy stood on the burning deck
When a thort came into his head
What a bloody fool he was to be standing there
When he could have been home in bed

My Poem

The boy stood on the burning deck
Picking his nose like mad
He was rolling them into little balls
And flicking them at his dad

My Poem

The boy stood on the burning deck
With a pocket full of crackers
A spark landed in his pocket
And blew off both his knackers

Welcome, Herman - I think this is a fun idea. I think I'll port it to Poetry.

The boy stood on the burning deck
and looked across the bow;
before he dove to safety said,
"I'm glad I'm not Captain now!"

Welcome to AW, Herman.

The boy stood on the burning deck,
a grimace crossed his face;
"A king, a queen, a jack, ten, ... DEUCE?!
I feel like such an ace."

Excellent response people.
I am officially running 5th, 6th and 7th, whoopee, I wish I could count!

Thank you for the redirect.
I am clearly new and didn't know we had a poetry spot.
Contrary to popular belief, I cannot write poetry to save myself.
Some say it spread from there to EVERYWHERE!!!

The boy stood on the burning deck
beside him was a large lounge chair
The conflagration grew an grew
The boy turned his back but it never diminished his fear!

the boy stood on the burning deck
the burning deck above the sea
soon the boy was flailing his arms
screaming and yelling 'save me!"

The boy stood on the burning deck
blaze started a bad case of the hic-
cups. They popped him into
a nearby flying balloon.

Hiya! From one noob to another welcome aboard!

The boy stood on the burning deck
blisters growing on his neck
his melting shoes now such a wreck
his burned up trousers looked like heck

The boy stood on the burning deck,
his shipmates laid in rows
pray'd the sea'd embrace the wreck,
his sins swallowed, unknown.

The boy stood on the burning deck
All he had was a Captain off the barges
There was a bunch of 23 elephants coming
He put in a TRUNK call and reversed ALL the charges!

The boy stood on the burning deck
As flames began to pass him by
Then as he felt the intense heat began to engulf him
His soul was released to drift away in the winds of time

The boy stood on the burning deck.
The girl leaped right over the side
And nearly broke her freakin' neck,
But the dude stayed behind and fried.

The boy stood on the burning deck
and cursed above the thrum:
"The lifeboat's got a cover charge...
and two-drink minimum!"

The boy stood on the burning deck
he couldn't raise a shout
"I die," he croaked into the smoke
and then his flame went out
