Over the past year I thought I'd gone through the worst, with losing a baby through ectopic, my job, and other unbelievable stresses, but I still managed to complete about three manuscripts (the last one, Jan. 5th).
So I was working on two more Inspirational Romance manuscripts, but now, due to my marriage almost coming to an abrupt halt, I've lost my mood. I can't seem to continue the other manuscripts, two that I really enjoyed.
I had to indulge in reading a long Fantasy series to keep my mind off of things. Then I got all panicky because I thought I was losing it- my ability to create! It was horrible!
So, I ended up beginning a whole new project in the Sci-Fi genre. It's a Saga I wasn't planning on working on until after those first two manuscripts were complete. But...here I am.
So my question is, do you ever get your mood back if you lose it for an extended period of time?
Has anyone had a similar experience happen to them?

Hang in there. I'm with Susan on the idea that whatever you do, even if it's not the exact thing you originally planned, it'll be cool
