Sissybaby...

My sister, sissybaby, who has been an active participant here for some time, has created a brand new blog to highlight her writing. She is going to the hospital today and scheduled for major surgery tomorrow. I helped her set up her blog, and I know she would be grateful for any comments to her first post, which she just finished before leaving for the hospital. I hope you will visit her site and leave a comment for her to read when she gets home. Thanks so much.

"Refilling the Well" is a new blog on the today.com blog network. It's about refilling and maintaining your creative stores so you don't run too low/drain yourself.

I posted a new entry on Creatif. I'm starting a new series called "Sources for Writers." Today's post is the first in that. "Sources for Writers: Journchat"

:banana:Virginia Lee is back, baby!
There are a week's worth of posts in my new blog, Virginia Lee: Free. And yeah, it's a sequel to the now offline, I Ain't Dead Yet! Miss M and I are back in Memphis and I'm feeling better than I have in about a decade. I'm doing NaBloPoMo's theme of change this month too, so please, come have a gander. I look forward to seeing my old friends from AW and will be catching up on y'all's blogs ASAP.

tips and insights into writing memoirs

I posted an essay about lessons I learned from Henry Louis Gates' memoir "Colored People" in which he learns about life while immobile in a hospital bed, proving that powerful things can happen in a story even when the protagonist isn't even moving.
