She's serious.

Ya can't do a good flounce w/o being mouthy and opinionated. Try it. You'll see. It just can't be done. :D

Doesn't this site have a separate chat room for this kind of stuff? I still feel I'm intruding on a private party on many of the office party threads... :cry:want to contribute but can't.

Do what I did: Barge in, act like you belong, and guess what? You will.

The trick is, just go ahead and intrude. The more, the merrier. And speaking for myself, I treat all members with an equal amount of respect.

Absolutely none at all. And that's what I love about you.

I think I'm following this, now. Sassy and OFG are grooming Rob. Rob is grooming KTC. KTC and Stew have a scene, but maybe KTC has his eye on Sassy, really. Jersey and Unique want to wangle invites to the party. Cray is just interested in food. It's pretty obvious once you catch the sinister undercurrents.

But what does "derail" mean?

Which 'Rob'? There's more than one, y'know... and one of 'em is my little brother. The other is just, y'know, ROB. He just 'is'.

Derail? It means 'wallow around in a thread until it's impossible to recognize its original intent'. You'll find examples all over the board. Literally. :D

I was just reminded of one...

The AW'ers who hang out on the PA threads are "nasty toady bugs". And they are prone to munching popcorn, setting their hair on fire, and beating their heads on their desks. :D

There once was a certain plagiarist with an unequalled talent for messing up the English language. She left us with several little gems, one of which I saw today and thought ought be mentioned here, lest newbies see it and misunderstand:

Diddo.

It's like "Ditto", but dumber. :D
