Noob

New here. Thought I'd lurk about, but not sure 'xactly how much I'd be lurkin'. Forums tend to swallow up my time, so I've put AbsoluteWrite on a time-leash.

I've got three stories going at the moment, one in which I'm simply playing with new vocabulary words, one intended to entertain readers of my blog (I've not touched this one in, hmm, Minerva knows how long), and one which not a soul will read or edit (so put that red pencil away!) until I've finished it. Is it a short story or a long? 'Tis very likely a long.

I used to be a member of the old FictionAddiction forum, before they became defunct. Two online friends, one a professional writer/editor, and the other an itinerant Kiwi, introduced me to AbsoluteWrite mumblety-mumble months ago.

Spelling errors get my ire up, grammatical errors irk the daylights out of me (living or otherwise), and incomprehensibility puts me in a coma. Otherwise, I'm just your normal freak.

HeronW - How long will my time-leash last? Well, right now it's awfully short. Plus, I've attended a 12-step program for forum addiction, so getting me back into the habit will be darned tricky. :steps up to microphone: Ahem! I am a Forum addict, and my name is.... Damn! I've been using initials for so long I've forgotten my bloody name!
