Well, since it's not about money, I guess it's not really spam...

If you've been around awhile ya know I'm learning to play the guitar. What I failed to mention is that I'm actually learning through http://www.justinguitar.com...

Easily navigable site, with full instructions + videos -- absolutely free. He only asks that if you can't afford to buy something or donate to the site, that you pass it on, by doing something good. If you get stuck there are forums.

It sort of covers everyone from beginners to advanced really. Interviews with people like Tommy Emmanuel and Joe Pass. It has a lot of music theory thrown in. Oh and if you were going to buy that ebook on caged theory don't bother. He's thrown in cage theory too. Plus he's updating things regularly.

The beginner's section has more stuff, but only because us n00bs need more help. But he's adding new stuff all the time.

So check it out okay? (now my spamming obligation is complete, I feel so much better :D)

Oh the barre chord help's terrific. I've almost got the E shapes down. Thought I could never play one.

The way I'm taking it(since total beginner), is to practice one section at a time 'till memorized(or at least I think it is), and chord changes without mistakes. Then I move on, and if I find myself tripping go back a lesson or two and start over. It's fun though.

Oh check out his "In The Cold Cold Night" lesson. He shows how to slide a chord/note, so it sounds good. I've been fiddling around with that and it's fun :).
