Today was a first. Two rejection letters in one day, that's never happened before. I guess the two agencies I sent them off to have similar response times. No worries though, I know that agencies only take on like two or three new writers a year so the odds are fairly long.

Keep sending it out, MD. It's a long slog but work from the top of the ladder down. You never know who might say yes.

One day last week I got two by mail, one by email. It was then I realized I was either going to have to a)quit writing altogether or b)work my ass off to get better and show them all!

I am now working my ass off. I don't want to quit.

I know that feeling, I just got two today myself. Oh well, I'm getting use to it. Keep sending it out, who knows what could happen. Good luck.

Sorry to hear about the double whammy. *passes chocolate* Now pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and send out some more queries.

Unfortunately, not Cape Cod..
Keep going - you've written a book which is more than the average person! People always say you can line your walls with rejections - I sure can! Queries are the hardest thing, IMO, about this process - just the thought of a short paragraph showing your beautiful work! URGH!

Every agent looks for something different - something that turns them on - that's why they make ice cream in 52 flavors! So...continue on, my friend!

Good luck - and write on!

Pick up. Dust off. Move forward.

You have a good c'est la vie attitude. Here's hoping the next one's an acceptance. All the best!
