Hi!

I was wondering if anyone could point me in direction of some titles (film/book/script) which deals with the situation of being homeless? I'm working on an idea where the main character is homeless and could use some inspiration.

The only thing I can come up with is Oliver Twist :Headbang:

Down and Out in Beverly Hills was a comedic look at it.

WHERE THE DAY TAKES YOU was, in my opinion, a great movie on a homeless group of young people living in the streets of LA.

One of my favourite movies... The Fisher King. I don't remember Cuba?

There was Jeff Bridges, Mercedes Ruehl, Michael Jeter, David Hyde Pierce...

The cast of that film is unbelievable! Just checked it out on imdb and half of these kids became Hollywood A-listers! I'm gonna buy that one for sure! I had forgotten about Fisher King - thanks to both of you.

Yes, Where the Day Takes You was a highly overlooked gem. I thought it was fantastic. Balthazar Getty had a fine performance in the movie.

With Honors...not the best movie by any means, but Joe Pesci played a pretty good homeless person and the arc for Brendan Fraser's character because of his relationship with Pesci's character was good - just not all the well acted.

For some reason, my memory seems to put Cuba Gooding in a lot of films. I'm not a particular fan, so I wonder why that is. Any suggestions as to what's going on?
