What are these things called?

You know when you're in hospital and you're having your heart and brain waves monitored they use little white sticky patches to stick the sensors to your skin.
Do they have a specific name?
I don't know enough about what they do to google it and I've called them sensors so often in this manuscript that it's quite clear I don't know what they are really called.

They may be formally electrodes, but we often call them "Red Dots" or "Sweethearts" (as in, "Throw me a pack of Sweethearts").

Those are the manufacturer's names.
