I have been trying to think of a surname for the MC in my children's chapter book. Everytime that I think of a suitable one, I Google it and find it's already taken.

My character is a naughty child called Molly. Sort of like a female Denis the Mennace. I thought of this one but I'm not happy with it and it's probably already taken anyway. "Molly B. Good."

I would appreciate it if any one has a suggestion. I'll even give you a Rep point. Thank you.

I feel your frustration. It's always hard for me to come up with surnames in general.

Here are some names I thought of -

Molly Raye Houston

Molly Becker

Molly Wyler

Molly J. Bronte (J stands for Jay)

Molly Helen Clark

Here's some internationally flavored names-

Molly Miranda Picard

Molly Mei-Ling

Molly Nickelson

Molly DeMarco Garret

Molly Ellen Wyler

I even thought up some nicknames Molly might have-

Madcap Molly

Mad Molly

Molly the Imp

Miss Midget (Her Big sis Kate might call her this one)

I hope these help. Let me know what you think.

Thank you everyone. I’ve Googled the ones I like, but most of them have been used by someone.

Originally I was going to call her Molly Muddle, but I had to change that when I Googled there was already a Molly Muddle children’s book and pantomime.

One name I thought of came up in a sex forum, Yipes!

How dose these sound:

Mischievous Molly Midget

Miss Molly Midget.

She is tiny for her age so, Midget would suit. I like it. I have Googled it and nothing came up “Yey!”

Hi kimmi, I Googled Molly Madden and quite a few web sites came up. Mazzy is a good name, but that is the name of her best friend in Molly Sings her Head off.

This is much harder then writing the story, ha.. trying to find a surname. I can write a whole story in one night, but I can't think of a good surname that hasn't been already taken. I suppose Molly is a common name. That's why.

Thank you so much though for your in-put.

How dose this sound (It's about the only one that I've Googled that dosent bring up something)

"Little Molly Mobbs."

kimmi, Haha. What does "Gute Lollee, mean? funny.
It doesn't mean anything, I'm just thinking of how children laugh at funny names. And picturing them sayn' a name over and over as sometimes children will do.:D
Or Molly Bea Kuel, that way she'll be cool to the kids!

kimmi, I like the "Bea" Maybe I could call her "Molly Bea Good" short for
Molly Beatrice Good. How does that sound?

I've Googled most of the others and they're mostly taken so here's what I've got:

Molly B. Good
Molly Bea Good.
Molly Beatrice Good
Molly Miranda
Molly Godbolt
Molly Donot

I really like, Molly Midget, but I don't want to offend the little people. So I shouldn't use it.

Thank you all for your help. Any one like any of these?

"Yes" I've just Googled, "Molly Coddle" and it's not taken. that's a change. Most of the others were.

Thanks PattiTheWicked.

I'm thinking now,Mmmm, "Molly Coddle, Sings her Head off." and, "Molly Coddle's Best friend Marie." Also, "Molly Coddle's New Best friend Mazy."

"Molly Coddle's School Holliday's."

Oh, Sorry, are you all still there? I got a bit distracted here. I'm playing in my play house. Hehehe.

Thanks everyone. Thanks, Wicked Patti. I'll go to bed now. It's 2.08am. Here in Australia.

That's a funny one Kimmi. I like that too. Funny enough my little five year old niece suggested Molly Mac Naughty. I defiitely like the "Mac" something.

Molly MacFuddle or Molly MacNaughty. Yes it has to be Molly Mac (Something) or Molly Coddle, or Molly MacCoddle. Oh, what about Molly MacGuillicuddy?

Thank you for all your suggestions.
